The cost of valuations depends on how much work, time and research is involved.
For modest instruments we do not charge for a verbal valuation.
For written valuations we charge £50 plus vat. ( written documents are often required by Insurance companies) .
For complex and very high value instruments / bows we usually seek the expertise of external experts. On these occasions we will inform the customer of the charge for this service before going ahead.
We understand that it’s important for any repair or replacement of a lost or damaged instrument to be quickly resolved. The advantages of a specialist insurance policy for musical instruments are numerous: professional use is fully covered, accidental damage is fully covered, there is no excess to pay in the event of a claim and a specialist claims service is provided by a dedicated team.
